Abstract:

The paper is a supplement for the recently published detailed scholarly commentary on the classical literary memoirs On the Banks of the Neva by Irina Odoevtseva. The supplement is based on the materials from the Russian émigré newspaper Novoe Russkoe Slovo (New York): newspaper articles dedicated to I. Odoevtseva’s and G. Ivanov’s life in Paris, referring to some particular details of her memoir, and the comments made in 1960s by Grigory Aronson and Andrei Sedykh on the book edition of the memoir On the Banks of the Neva and its publications in the press.

Keywords: Irina Odoevtseva, literary memoirs, biography, literary criticism, Russian émigré periodicals, scholarly commentary
