Based on both well-known sources and unpublished materials, the article follows the relations between Andrei Bely and Ye.F. Knipovich and the evolution of her views on Symbolism. Letters of A.A. Turgeneva and V.V. Yegoryev to A. Bely and letters of A. Bely and A.D. Bugaeva to E.F. Knipovich, preserved in her archives, are being published for the first time.
